Why Appliscale exists.
Founded in 2015 with a single conviction: the best engineering teams sit close to the operators they build for. Eleven years operating in 2026.
We came up shipping bidder infrastructure when OpenRTB was still bedding in, multiplayer backends when studios were still moving off bespoke socket servers, and platform work for founding teams that needed senior hands without a five-year hiring plan. The verticals branched out from there.
Today we still organise around the same idea. Engineers who understand the business they are coding for, not just the ticket in front of them.

Remote-first, two hubs
Engineering operates remotely with anchor offices in Krakow and Wexford. Project teams of 3 to 8, sized to the system rather than to a roster.
Polyglot by design
Go, Node.js, Java, TypeScript, Python, C#, Erlang and Elixir, plus mobile in iOS and Android. We pick the language the problem wants, not the one a team happens to know.
Friday WKS
Weekly Knowledge Sharing every Friday. Whoever shipped something interesting that week presents it to the rest of the company.
